In Kigali, nurses organisations from Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe, in addition to Norway and Rwanda, will meet to discuss how to strengthen investments in the nursing profession as well as exchanging strategies for how to convince decision-makers to do so.
During the professional seminar, a specific focus will be given to the WHO’s Strategic Directions for Nursing and Midwifery. This is a set of guidelines presenting evidence-based practices and an interrelated set of policy priorities that can help countries to ensure that nurses and midwives contribute to achieving universal health coverage and other population health goals in the best possible way.
